Crematoria
The two most commonly used crematoriums in the area are Worthing Crematorium and Chichester Crematorium.
Worthing Crematorium
Worthing Crematorium is situated in idyllic surroundings just to the north of Worthing near to Findon Village. The present day crematorium is situated in what used to be the grounds of Muntham Court. There are two chapels, the kingswood Chapel and the Muntham Chapel.
The outside area to the Chapels are laid to mainly lawn while the crematorium grounds are managed to maintain their value for wildlife.
The fringing woodlands are managed variously as hazel coppices and non-intervention high forest to retain as traditional a landscape as possible with in The South Downs National Park.

Chichester Crematorium
Chichester Crematorium is located just on the outskirts of Chichester which makes it easy to locate. The crematorium is situated in picturesque green surroundings.

Littlehampton Cemetery
Littlehampton Cemetery is situated just on the edge of Littlehampton. The cemetery is always maintained to a high standard by the on site staff who are at Littlehampton Cemetery all year round.

Alternative Venues for Funerals
With funerals changing and becoming so much more personal than before the type of venue has also changed. Traditionally we had a Church service or a service at a crematorium or cemetery chapel to choose from, this has now changed. We can have a funeral service outside in our own gardens or maybe a more rustic venue like the two barns below.
Long Furlong Barn
Nestled in the West Sussex countryside, the beautiful rustic barns set the scene for a beautiful ceremony. Consisting of 2 barns and plenty of outdoor space with unspoilt views of the countryside, Long Furlong Barn is a truly unique setting. The Long Furlong barn can accommodate over 100 people for a funeral, with refreshments available from it’s bar and can also provide catering for your guests. There is plenty of parking on site for your guests in their large car park.
Cissbury Barns
The Cissbury Estate is made up of an impressive country house and two wonderful brick and flint barns, set within the South Downs National Park. They are situated just outside Findon, north of Worthing in West Sussex.
The large barns themselves are shielded by woodland and for over 200 years, they have been at the heart of sheep farming. Now transformed into stylish barns with stunning views of the South Downs National Park. One barn is fronted by a lawned garden and the other has a beautiful patio. You can use both barns, one for a service, with the other being set up for a funeral reception. With both barns, your guests will be able to relax and reflect within the brick and flint walled gardens and the wonderful lawns that are perfect for raising a drink and remembering a loved one, between the ceremony and reception. Cissbury Barns provide their own catering for funeral receptions on site and will cater for all your needs.
The large and bespoke barn doorways offer great light into each barn, with the adjacent open fronted lambing pens now the bar and lounge area. There is plenty of parking for your guests and the staff are on hand for all your needs.
East Preston Village Hall
Situated in the heart of East Preston village lies the perfect venue for a funeral and refreshments all under one roof. East Preston Village Hall has two stone built farm buildings dating back to the 1800’s, The Warren Room and The Miller Barn. The Miller Barn was where the corn was threshed by the farm workers, The Warren Room was used to store cattle for the farm.
Since 1981 both barns have been brought to life with modern internal facilities and are available to be used for a beautiful service for your loved ones. The Warren Room can seat 75 guests for a celebration of life, and the adjoining Miller Barn, can easily accommodate over 100 guests for the funeral reception in a large and airy barn. Both rooms have original features. Which include flint stone walls and wooden beams which provide the venue with a real warmth and character.
The major benefit of having your loved ones celebration of life here, is the facilities on site with their fully equipped kitchen, which with a local caterer can accommodate hot or cold food depending on your wishes. There is free parking both in their Private Car Park but also in the surrounding streets.
The Village Hall is accessible to all including the toilet facilities,which incorporates baby changing facilities. There is also has an Induction loop system in each barn for the hearing impaired.
Using this venue it gives you the peace of mind that you can take your time and celebrate your loved one with them present. Especially comforting if they use to live in the Village. You won’t have to rush as you don’t have the same time restraints as you would at other venues.
This venue offers us the ability to provide a unique setting with all your requirements on site, so there is no need to travel to another location for your refreshments. The hire for the venue will be £150.00 which includes both The Warren Room and The Miller Barn.
